Omega Program Timer
Introduced: 1976 |
|
While most Omega timers were designed for making exposures, the Program Timer was specifically for process timing. The molded dial had slots at 15 second intervals into which small brass tabs were inserted, representing the end of each step of a particular process. The interchangeable program discs fitted into the dial and could be marked by the user to indicate the proper tab positions for a process. By using a combination of different discs and/or dials, the user was able to quickly change between processes. The accessory outlet was used to control electrical devices such as an agitator base.
Used Advice: Because program dials, tabs and kits are discontinued, check that there are sufficient included with the timer. Otherwise they are generally reliable. |
