Xenomega with blower and power supply

Xenomega
Pulsed Xenon

Light Source

Introduced: 1965
Discontinued: 1974

Designed to be used on the D, E, and F series enlargers, the Xenomega was very much a specialty head intended for graphics arts applications such as direct-screen colour separations, and photo murals.  It came with a wall mounted blower and 220v power supply, with the lamp chamber simply replacing the normal light cap of the enlarger's condenser lamphouse.  It's 1500w daylight balanced Xenon lamp gave 70 times the printing speed of a conventional 75w PH211 lamp.

Used Advice:  The Xenomega is a very high output light source and should not be considered for normal enlarging work.  Used units will need to have the power supply thoroughly inspected by a technician before use due to possible deterioration of the high-voltage components.
