Simtron Color Print Analyzer

Simtron Analyzer with probes

This was Omega's first color analyzer and was very different in design from later models.  First, there were individual probes for color balance and exposure readings, with the color probe mounted under the lens, and the exposure probe used on the baseboard.  As well, the two color channels, magenta/cyan and cyan/yellow, each had its own null meter, with the adjustment controls on the probe itself.  A third meter was used for exposure calibration.  A diffused disc on the exposure probe could be removed to take spot readings.  The on/off switch was the cradle for the exposure probe on the side of the main unit.
