Building on the acceptance of the compact SCA-100, Omega introduced the SCA-300 a year later, at which point the older Chromegacolor and Chromegatron Pro-Lab analyzers were discontinued.  The new unit used the latest in electronics, including a digital display, to provide a professional quality unit.  The probe incorporated 3 separate silicon cells with dichroic filters acting as beam splitters.  Interchangeable memory modules allowed the user to preprogram for different materials or processes.

Used Advice:  These units have proven to be reliable and stable, but probes are easily broken if dropped, and difficult to repair.  Replacement probes are unavailable.
