The
fine elevation controls on the D5500 chassis operate as a direct
friction drive system using two
resilient drive rollers press fit on a splined shaft. With age and use
these rollers may crack or split, at which point they detach from the
shaft, disabling the fine elevation control. The control knobs will turn freely with no effect.
KHB Photografix has developed a replacement for the original assembly
that is more durable and more easily serviced. Please contact us for
